Hey Nicol Russell, how is this feature progressing? Any idea of a release date?

When will this feature be available? It’s been in progress for a very long time and was one of the reasons I switched to Finwise.

This was in progress for a long time and has reverted to planned. Any explanation as to why and when it is envisaged the feature will be shipped?

James Clarke: Hey James!
It is in progress. We've finalised the designs, scope and started on implementation. We're just rolling out recurring transaction tracking and Discovery Bank (for South Africa) first, and then will be heads down to get couples live :)

It would be great to be able to mark some accounts as joint and have the expenses from that account be split by a percentage

Just signed up for the trial and was hoping to find this feature so I can share with my wife. Looking forward to the implementation!

Household Budgeting with Sub-Budgets & Account Attribution
As head of household, I’d like a budgeting system that supports both shared and individual budgets with clear account attribution.
Example structure:
Communal Budget
Wifi – R989 (Partner 1 account)
Utilities – R4,500 (Partner 2 account)
Dependent Budgets (e.g. John, 5 years old)
School – R5,500 (Partner 1 account)
Clothes – R1,500 (Partner 2 account)
Any dependent who isn’t self-funded becomes a sub-budget. When they’re older, that budget can be handed over as part of financial education.
Core idea: View the total household spend, then drill into the sub-budgets that make it up. Alternatively, start from an account view and see which expenses (via tags) are paid from that account.
This would make multi-account household finances much clearer and support teaching kids about money as they grow.
