It would be great if the calendar view could show the average daily spend, calculated from existing transactions.
Additionally, it could compare your budgeted vs. actual spending and dynamically update the average as the month progresses — giving users a clear view of how their daily spending trends toward the end of the month.
Daily Breakdown
To convert monthly expenses to daily, I’ll use 30 days as a standard approximation for a month (a common budgeting approach, though you could use 365/12 ≈ 30.42 for more precision if preferred). This gives a “cost of living per day” view, which can help reframe the value of each expense relative to your earnings.
• Rent per day: R8,500 / 30 = R283.33
• Electricity per day: R1,750 / 30 = R58.33
• Wifi per day: R1,010 / 30 = R33.67
• Water per day: R850 / 30 = R28.33
• Groceries per day: R3,000 / 30 = R100.00
• Fuel per day: R2,000 / 30 = R66.67
Total expenses per day: R17,110 / 30 = R570.33
