Webhooks for transaction and sync events

Is there any plan for webhooks? I could not find them in the API reference, and a search of this board returns nothing.

The only way to keep an external system current is to poll the transactions endpoint on a schedule, which is wasteful for both sides. I either poll too often and hammer your API, or poll rarely and my data goes stale.

A sync.completed event would be the single most useful one, since that is the moment there is actually something new to fetch. Transaction created, updated and archived events would be a bonus. The rest of the API is well documented, with pagination, rate limits and error formats all covered, which is why webhooks stand out as the gap.
